Ralph Pruitt's mail-order search for a reliable wife brings Catherine Land to his remote Wisconsin homestead. The mystery of her sensuous past and the deep seated remorse he carries over his past sins makes this almost a bodice-ripper. Almost. I can see this becoming a movie - soon.
